The Cylinder is the most timeless silhouette in the LuLu & Oliver candle collection—balanced, symmetrical, and beautifully restrained.
Its proportions feel calm from every angle. Styled on a nightstand, desk, kitchen counter, bookshelf, bathroom vanity, or coffee table, it brings the visual weight of an artisan object without overwhelming the space around it.
Each vessel is finished by hand, allowing subtle variation in color, marbling, movement, texture, and surface to remain visible. No two pieces feel completely identical, and that individuality is an intentional part of the design.
Inside, nine ounces of our coconut–soy wax blend are scented with premium fragrance oils and pure essential oils, then poured around one carefully selected lead-free wick.
The finished candle is simple in shape, rich in texture, and made to remain useful long after the final flame.

We chose a coconut–soy wax blend because it supports the creamy, refined appearance we wanted for the collection while allowing fragrance to develop with warmth and depth.

It is formulated without petroleum and paired with lead-free cotton wicks, premium fragrance oils, and pure essential oils.
The candle is vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and hand-poured in small batches in Landrum, South Carolina.

The Cylinder was never meant to be disposable.
Once the original candle has finished, the vessel can be cleaned, inspected, and renewed with an appropriate LuLu & Oliver Candle Refill Kit.
The vessel remains while the fragrance changes. One season may call for herbs and citrus. Another may call for amber, woods, pumpkin, smoke, birch, or evergreen.
Refilling extends the useful life of the vessel and can reduce the need to purchase another complete container and its associated protective packaging.
It also transforms replacement into ritual: cleaning, choosing, melting, pouring, curing, and relighting.

- Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting.
- Allow the melt pool to move toward the edges during the first burn.
- Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts.
- Do not burn longer than the care instructions recommend.
- Keep the wax free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris.
- Discontinue burning when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains.
- Never move the vessel while the wax is hot or liquid.
- Never leave a candle unattended or near children and pets.

No. Because each vessel is hand-finished, natural-looking variations in texture, pattern, tone, and surface are expected and make each piece individual.

Is the candle vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. LuLu & Oliver candles are vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without phthalates or petroleum.
Can the vessel be refilled?
Yes. Once the candle has finished, allow the vessel to cool, clean and inspect it carefully, and follow the instructions supplied with the appropriate LuLu & Oliver refill kit. Never refill a damaged vessel.
Can I reuse the vessel for something other than a candle?
Once fully cleaned, the vessel may be thoughtfully repurposed as a small organizer, floral container, desk accessory, makeup brush holder, or decorative object.
How long will the candle burn?
Burn time varies with fragrance, wick maintenance, room conditions, and burn habits. The current product guidance estimates an average of approximately five to seven hours per ounce.
