The Large Oval
A sculptural three-wick candle, poured by hand into an artisan-finished vessel designed to bring fragrance, texture, and quiet drama to the room.
Some candles disappear into a room. The Large Oval was created to define it.
Low, substantial, and softly sculptural, the vessel brings the visual weight of stone to a coffee table, kitchen island, bedside, or beautifully layered console. Its elongated oval profile feels architectural without becoming severe—modern enough for a minimal interior, organic enough for a collected home.
Every vessel is finished by hand, allowing variations in color, movement, texture, and surface to remain visible. These differences are part of the character of the piece. No two feel entirely identical, and that individuality is precisely what gives the candle its presence.
Inside, sixteen ounces of our coconut–soy wax blend are scented with premium fragrance oils and pure essential oils, then poured around three lead-free wicks to create an even, luminous burn across the broad shape of the vessel.
The result is not simply a candle. It is a functional object of fragrance—one designed to be burned, refilled, repurposed, and lived with.
“Luxury is not the moment an object enters the home. It is the way it continues to belong there.”
Made by hand. Meant to remain.
The Large Oval begins with the vessel itself. Its softened form and mineral-inspired finish give the appearance of something discovered rather than manufactured—an object with enough restraint to live quietly in the room and enough presence to anchor it.
Each vessel is hand-finished and sealed with a non-toxic, water-based finish chosen for durability. Subtle marbling, painterly movement, tonal shifts, and surface variation are expected. They are not imperfections to be hidden; they are evidence of the hand behind the piece.
Because the vessel is low and elongated, it creates a wider visual composition than a conventional jar candle. Styled beside books, ceramics, wood, linen, brass, or stone, it becomes part of the interior rather than an accessory placed on top of it.
Why the Large Oval feels different
- Hand-finished surface with natural visual variation
- Wide oval silhouette with sculptural presence
- Three-wick design suited to the vessel’s broad shape
- Substantial enough to style as permanent home décor
- Designed for refilling or thoughtful repurposing
Three flames. One beautifully balanced glow.
A Broader Melt Pool
Three carefully placed wicks allow the wax to melt across the elongated vessel more evenly than a single central wick could.
A More Luminous Presence
Three small flames create a layered glow that feels especially beautiful during evening rituals, dinner, bathing, or entertaining.
Fragrance With Dimension
As the wax warms, the fragrance begins to unfold through the room—softly at first, then with greater depth as the melt pool develops.
Our coconut–soy wax blend was chosen for the way it carries fragrance and creates a creamy, refined appearance. The candle is formulated without petroleum and uses lead-free wicks.
The fragrance experience is designed to be noticeable without overwhelming the room. Proper wick trimming, burn time, room size, and airflow all contribute to the final performance.
Made with intention from vessel to flame.
The Large Oval is hand-poured in small batches using a coconut–soy wax blend, fine fragrance oils, pure essential oils, and lead-free wicks.
It is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without phthalates or petroleum. The vessel is protected with a non-toxic, water-based finish selected for both beauty and durability.
“Clean-burning” does not mean a candle can be burned without care. Every flame produces heat, and any candle may smoke or soot when the wick is too long, the candle sits in a draft, or the burn is not properly maintained. Thoughtful formulation and thoughtful candle care work together.
That honesty matters to us. Luxury should feel beautiful, but it should also be informed.
Fragrance is the invisible layer of a room.
A candle can change more than the way a room smells. It can make a space feel cooler, warmer, brighter, deeper, cleaner, softer, or more intimate.
Fresh citrus, herbs, and tea bring clarity to kitchens and daytime spaces. Woods, amber, leather, smoke, and patchouli add depth to living rooms and libraries. Soft musk, lavender, vanilla, and cashmere create a quieter atmosphere for bedrooms and baths.
Seasonal fragrances allow the same vessel to tell a different story throughout the year—from green spring botanicals and coastal summer air to pumpkin and patchouli in autumn or white birch and evergreen at Christmas.

Explore Candle FragrancesThe wax is finished. The vessel is not.
Most candles are designed around a single cycle: purchase, burn, discard. The Signature Stone Collection was created around a different idea.
When the final flame has burned, the Large Oval can be cleaned, inspected, and renewed with a LuLu & Oliver Candle Refill Kit. The vessel remains while the fragrance changes.
You may choose the same scent again, or allow the candle to move with your home and the season. One vessel can hold an entire fragrance wardrobe.
Refilling extends the useful life of the vessel and can reduce the need to purchase another complete container and its associated protective packaging.
It also transforms replacement into ritual: cleaning, choosing, melting, pouring, curing, and relighting.
A sculptural candle for the rooms you live in most.
On the Coffee Table
Let the low oval form sit beside art books, a small bowl, or natural objects. Its broad shape gives the table an intentional center.
On the Kitchen Island
Pair with wood, stoneware, fruit, or fresh herbs and choose citrus, botanical, fig, tea, or softly gourmand fragrance.
In the Bedroom
Place on a dresser or deep nightstand with warm woods, amber, musk, lavender, or cashmere-inspired fragrance.
Beside the Bath
Three flames create a generous glow against tile and water. Choose mineral, floral, coastal, or spa-like notes.
On the Mantel
The elongated profile balances beautifully with framed art, mirrors, garland, branches, or a collected arrangement.
After the Final Burn
Refill it, or repurpose the cleaned vessel as a low floral container, organizer, cachepot, or decorative object.
Beautiful performance begins with candle care.
- Trim all three wicks to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting.
- Light every wick so the candle burns evenly across the oval vessel.
- Allow the melt pool to move toward the edges during the first burn.
- Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts.
- Do not burn for longer than the care instructions recommend.
- Keep the wax free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris.
- Discontinue burning when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains.
- Never leave a candle unattended or near children and pets.

Yes. Once the candle has finished, allow the vessel to cool, clean and inspect it carefully, and follow the instructions supplied with the appropriate LuLu & Oliver refill kit. Never refill a damaged vessel.
Can I reuse the vessel for something other than a candle?
Once fully cleaned, the vessel may be thoughtfully repurposed as a decorative organizer, low floral container, cachepot, or other non-food household object.
